Just read an interview with Shane Claiborne, a Christian activist, committed to community, living a simple life and helping the poor. In it he said these challenging words:
In one community I went to, they had T-shirts that said ‘Everybody wants a revolution but nobody wants to do the dishes’.
Found this challenging, and a great way of puncturing the paralysis faced when looking at the big needs of the world – ‘what can I do in face of all of this, nothing.’ He continued,
That’s the challenge – to live out the revolution every day in not just the great things but in doing the small things that we do with a lot of love.
